Friday 26th September 08 Depart Sydney on Thai International Airways flight TG 992 at 21.10 and arrive Bangkok at 0559 Saturday 27th September 08 Transfer by coach to the Centre Point Lang Suan Apartments Time to freshen up before you join Wendy for a ½ day tour to the stylish Almeta Fabric store, this will be followed by Jim Thompson’s factory outlet. If you have energy left for more shopping and time permitting, you can visit the Emporium Shopping Centre on the way back to the apartments.
Sunday 28th September 08 Breakfast with Wendy and a chance to ask your shopping questions. Monday 29th September 08 Breakfast with Wendy. Get to know the Skytrain network and explore the Chit Lom area with Wendy, this area runs from Chit Lom Station on the corner of Lang Suan Road where we will be staying. Wendy will explain the Skyrail system before we move on to explore Gaysorn Plaza, investigate Narai Phand and the underground markets and then accross to Central World which claims to be the largest lifestyle shopping complex in Southeast Asia.
Tuesday 30th September 08 Breakfast with Wendy Today we split up into two groups. Group 2 - Optional Cooking Class - This morning you will taken by coach to the Blue Elephant Cooking School where you will be discuss with the chef the 4 course meal. You will then be taken by Sky train to the morning market where you will be guided in discovering the usage of Thai fruits, vegetables and spices before returning to the school for your theory and hands on cooking lessons. You can then taste and enjoy your own culinary creation for lunch in the convivial Thai setting the Blue Elephant Restaurant. Coach return to apartments.
Wednesday 1st October 08 Breakfast with Wendy
Thursday 2nd October 08 This morning Wendy will go to Pantip Plaza home of electrical goods and DVDs feel free to join or if you prefer arrange your own shopping.
Free day for last minute shopping Check out of hotel (with your overflowing luggage!!!) and transfer to airport for your Thai Airways flight departing at 0800am to arrive back into Brisbane at 1045pm
