Bash for Cash puts Smiles on Dials

Rebecca from our office recently had the extraordinary experience of participating in the Qld Variety Bash. Variety is a Queensland Childrens Charity that works directly with individual families and organisations to transform the lives of sick, disadvantaged and special needs children. The Variety Bash started in Toowoomba on the 03Oct and finished in Bathurst on the 12October. Rebeccas team "The Girls Pit Crew" and their 1970s stretch limo raised $52,000 which landed her team as the 8th highest fundraising team out of the 206 participating bash cars. This top 8 position also awarded the team with a prize of driving a lap at Bathurst infront of 60,000 spectators prior to the big race of Bathurst 1000.  Rebecca would like to say a huge thankyou to two of the major sponsors of her team, Pulse Travel and Pinpoint Travel Group.  The Sponsorship raised by these 2 organisations helped add to the 1.9Million that was raised by this years Variety Bash. For anyone wanting to get behind Rebecca in the next years bash or to find out about participating please contact her at rebecca@pulsetravel.com.au

UK Working Holiday Visas Widened for Youth

The United Kingdom has loosened its working holiday policies for those under 30 from Australia and New Zealand, in a bid to allow more young people to live and work in Britain.

Under the new scheme 18-30 year old Aussies, will be allowed to work and holiday in Britain for up to two years, a year more than the previous scheme.

The new ‘Tier 5’ Youth Mobility visas will also cost less, at just around half the original cost, and for the first time travellers will have no time restriction on how long they work whilst on holidays.

There is a new condition, to be valid for consideration travellers must have a minimum of GBP1600 in their savings account before departure, to prove that they can afford to stay in Britain whilst they holiday.
