PULSE  TRAVEL – Check-List

 

Poolwerx has utilised Pulse Travel for several years to manage their Corporate Travel and have now partnered for the Poolwerx Convention 2022 in Port Douglas.

All Delegates are encouraged to prepare for their forthcoming travel to the Poolwerx Convention 2022 by understanding and observing the following check-list.

 

 

Health & Wellbeing

Please be safe and aware of the evolving protocols and Health Directives issued by governments and suppliers.   Before departure, travellers should refer to their “latest COVID19 Travel Management Plans/Advice” from Airlines, Hoteliers, Health Organisations and Government’s websites.   This includes, utilising masks, sanitising, social distancing and isolating as directed.

Flights

Your flight reservations have now been finalized and your tickets issued, which you should have now received.

  1. Delegates on group flight bookings may be allocated seating in a group block by the respective airlines. Any seat changes can be made at check-in (subject to availability).
  2. Group bookings may not be fully accessible on the airline’s website via manage by booking.
  3. Please ensure you allow plenty of time for check-in, particularly with increased demand due aviation staff shortages. Recommend minimum of 1 hour for domestic and 3 hours for international flights.
  4. Flight Changes – (Cancellations/Delays/Reschedules). There are currently numerous flight changes occurring globally within the Aviation & Travel industries.   You are encouraged to be patient and to expect some inconvenience.

Please check your flight departure times on your airline’s website prior to travel.   Last minute cancellations, delays, reschedules should be advised in a timely manner, but sometimes may be advised just prior to boarding.   If your flight is changed, the airline will attempt to re-book you to your destination as soon as possible.   Pulse Travel can be contacted if further assistance is required.

 

 

Cancellations/Changes/Terms/Conditions/Charges

All reservations have Terms & Conditions attached.   Charges normally apply for changes and/or cancellations once deposited or full payment has been paid.   If you have to cancel your reservation, every effort will be made to minimise any charges incurred.

 

 

Frequent Flyers

It is the traveller’s responsibility to advise Pulse Travel which frequent flyer membership they would like to attach to their flights at the time of booking.   Whilst care is taken to apply frequent flyer numbers to your bookings, it is the traveller’s responsibility to check the accumulation of Frequent Flyer Points and Status Credits for the itinerary they are travelling on.    Please refer directly to your Frequent Flyer Program.

 

 

Booking Name

Domestic travel bookings must be in the same name as your approved ID, eg  Passport/Driver’s Licence.   It is the traveller’s responsibility for charges associated with any name changes within your travel booking as a result of failing to provide your name spelt correctly as per your approved ID.   You should always travel with an approved ID.

 

Entering Australia

International delegates are responsible for their correct/approved Passport, Australian Visas, Authorised Vaccinations, Health tests, etc and all entry permit requirements.   Please review at www.abf.gov.au/entering-and-leaving-australia/crossing-the-border

 

International delegates should comply with their own country’s requirements for departure and re-entry.

 

If you are transiting or stopping over in a third country, you will need to comply with that country’s entry requirements.

 

 

Accommodation

Accommodation has been organised as advised to individual travellers.   Guests will be required to present a credit card at check-in for accommodation security bond and incidentals, regardless of whether the room has been individually prepaid by yourself, or prepaid by Poolwerx.

 

 

Transfers

  1. Poolwerx Franchise Partners Group flights and PIPs who have arranged Poolwerx transfers – please see the Poolwerx staff who will be waiting at the bus departure area at Cairns Airport, which is left as you exit the terminal. (Refer Kates video).
  2. Delegates who are transferring form the Novotel on 7 August, please be ready by 1130am for a 12noon departure.
  3. Poolwerx will co-ordinate transfers from the Sheraton Port Douglas back to Cairns Airport on 10 August to fit departing flights and check-in times.
  4. Note Poolwerx are not transferring delegates to Cairns City or Palm Cove, and independent arrangements should be made if required.

 

Dining out in North QLD

Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is strongly recommended.   Please ensure you have finalised your insurance for the convention with Aus Brokers before 31 July 2022.
