Singapore Airlines Offers Glimpse into Boeing777-9 Refurbishment

November 5th, 2025 – Singapore Airlines Reveals First Glimpse into Upgraded First and Business Class Seating

Singapore Airlines has released the first glimpse into their opulent new First and Business Class Suites, expected to be installed into their A350 fleet from 2026.

Teased in some intentionally dark footage, the sneak peek videos offer a glimpse into Singapore Airlines’ two new Business and First Class offerings, due to be installed in their Boeing 777-9 Aircraft in the coming months and years. Touted as a new generation of “comfort, luxury and modernity”, Business and First Class travellers will be able to enjoy the latest and greatest in modern comforts, available on long- and ultra-long range flights.

For First Class flyers, the elusive footage offers us a couple of clues as to what flyers can expect:

  • Louvre-style doors slide open, creating an elegant entrance into each First Class pod and offering an elevated level of privacy for flyers.
  • Electric concertina blinds glide up and down along the windows with a touch of a button, alluding to full electrical control over your level of lighting while flying.
  • On the left side of the video a large monitor is revealed, alluding to a screen upgrade which will likely include Bluetooth audio streaming for meetings and watching your own shows.
  • Within the First Class Pod we can see three windows, implying that each pod is at least 6′ long and includes a fold out bed.

Business Class flyers can also expect a range of new perks with the incoming upgrade, designed to elevate their flying experience and bring their Business Class more in line with the likes of ANA, Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways and others. While the video only shows a brief teaser, Business Class flyers can expect:

  • Increased privacy provided by the elegant sliding doors, allowing Business Class travellers to block out noise, conduct business or simply relax.
  • An upgrade to Singapore Airlines’ current Business Class layout, with a large footwell in the front and forward-facing chairs so that flyers no longer have to sleep diagonally or wedge their feet into a smaller space, or flip the seat over to turn it into a bed.
  • The usual large monitor with included storage space for bags, jackets and other important items.

Currently due to roll out from 2026 onwards, we look forward to bringing you further updates to the Singapore Airlines Business and First Class suites as they become available.
