Job Description

As a Travel Manager you will be an integral part of the operational team and you play an important role with our clients.  This role will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the corporate travel arrangements for our clients.  You will liaise with our clients, make all aspects of domestic and international travel bookings, and ensure travellers are compliant with our client’s corporate travel policy.  You will deliver a superior customer service experience to our clients by offering an efficient method of bookings, including troubleshooting complex itineraries and providing accurate advice.  You will demonstrate ongoing value to decision makers, travellers and bookers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide all aspects of travel consulting for our clients in both domestic and international travel.
  • Offer and support a seamless quoting and booking process.
  • Communicate with corporate clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and ensure adherence to their corporate travel policy in a professional manner.
  • Provide advice and recommendations on travel options, itineraries, visa requirements, travel regulations and destinations.
  • Provide a high level of attention to detail and accuracy when offering quotes and/or providing itineraries on all aspects of domestic and international travel.
  • Maintain favourable working relationships with clients and their employees.
  • Investigate and provide solutions to travel related issues which the client may have experienced during travel.
  • Manage individual and team queues using the GDS and/or relevant systems.
  • Meet all agreed service level agreements.
  • Accurately maintain all client and company information in all systems.
  • Offer troubleshooting and solutions to the client’s technology suite, including the online booking tool.
  • Handle travel related emergencies and assist with itinerary changes as needed.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ensure all finance related tasks are executed and accurate at all times.
  • Keep updated and adhere to all Pulse Travel policies and procedures.
  • Keep updated on all product offerings.
  • Work collaboratively across cross-functional teams to provide the best possible outcomes.
  • Attend client review meetings or new client pitches, when required.
  • General office and administrative duties, where required.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays, if required.
  • Required to undertake any additional duties or tasks as requested by Management.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the travel industry, preferably with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a corporate Travel Management Company.
  • Strong sales and track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Proficient in GDS and back of house software, preferably Amadeus and Tramada.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively within an operations team to deliver on desired outcomes.
  • Passion for travel and the genuine desire to help clients and your team achieve targets.
  • A proactive approach to client service and relationship management, with a strong commitment to exceeding client expectations.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, presentations, or industry events as needed.
